Strong and healthy - that is what most people desire to be. As some people said: Health is wealth, as without health, you can never acquire wealth. Being strong does not just mean physical strength alone. It also means the body is strong enough to resist bacterial and viral attacks. Being healthy means to be free from any diseases or chronic illness. To stay strong and healthy, the body will need the right type and amount of food.

Strong and Healthy Bodies
Strong and Healthy bodies can do the things that one desires. One can play, run, dance and jump. The secret to having a healthy and good looking body is regular exercise and a balanced diet . Regular exercise improves the overall quality of life and prevents chronic illness. A balanced diet keeps the "motor" of the body running smoothly and in good condition.

Strong and Healthy Teeth
Having a healthy set of teeth allows one to enjoy the food he loves. It will also upholds his self-esteem with good looking teeth. Some useful tips which are helpful to have healthy teeth are:

  1. Brush your teeth at least twice a day.
  2. Learn the correct way to brush the teeth.
  3. Visit the dentist every six months.
  4. Do not chew hard things as this may lead to weakening of teeth.
  5. Use less sugar in your food and drinks to avoid teeth decay.
  6. Avoid using tobacco products as they caused stains on teeth and also increase the risk of gum diseases and throat and mouth cancer.

The part of our body that takes a lot of punishment is our knees. It support our body weight and takes a toll as we do activities such as walking, running and climbing. That is why many people suffer from knee cap problems when they grow older. The ligaments and cartilage of knee caps becomes thin through the years of wear and tear. Some basic knee exercise will help to keep the knees strong and healthy. You can help your knees strong by strengthening your thigh muscles as our knee joints are supported by the thigh muscles, so exercising the thigh muscles will keep the knees strong. If your thigh muscles are strong, then your knees will be strong.

Strong and Healthy Hair
Healthy hair tends to look smooth and shiny and it definitely improves one's looks and self-esteem. Tips for having healthy hair:

  1. Handle with care as hair can be stretched up to 30 percent of its length before it breaks.
  2. Go easy on heated styling as the cuticle can only withstand heat and brushing to a certain point. When using heating tools, always apply styling products that has cuticle coaters for protection.
  3. Use conditioners for smooth, silky hair
  4. Trim your hair every 10 weeks as the ends of your hair split when they age.
